An All-In-One Hot Water Storage Solution

Although we at Newark Copper Cylinder have been manufacturing Thermalstore Cylinders for decades, we focused our efforts on producing bespoke themalstores for unique settings.

As a contrast to that, we have decided to produce a range of all-in-one thermalstore cylinders with a ready-defined specification suitable for a multitude of heat sources.

The 22mm Vent Connection on a thermalstore connects to the feed an expansion tank to allow the water in the system to expand once the tank reaches temperature.

The 22mm Boiler Directs are connected to a conventional oil / gas boiler which allows water to be heated and circulated back into the tank.

The Thermalstore utilised a high surface area finned coil which is used to exchange heat between the coil and the tank which is used to draw off hot water through a thermal mixer valve fitted to the external pipework.

The Temperature & Pressure Relief Valve is fitted when an uncontrolled heat source is utilised, this ensures that the tank does not overpressurise or get too high temperature by opening the valve to dump any excess heat or pressure.

The Thermal Mixer Valve is used to control the output temperature of the tank with the mix of hot water provided by the tank and the incoming cold mains. It can be adjusted to output heat between 30°C - 70°C at 25Lpm.

Heat is provided to the underfloor heating system by utilising a high-efficiency Plate Heat Exchanger. It is done to separate the body of water within the tank with the water in the underfloor heating circuit as thin pipe is often used for underfloor heating and can be very difficult to replace if any contaminates in the tank was to cause a blockage.
